The I've Got Your Six 6k and Memorial Mile is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. In 2012, we organized our first race on the Panhandle Trail outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to raise money for the VALOR Clinic Foundation.
In 2013, we are not only looking forward to our second annual race in September, but we will be adding a sister race in June in Bangor, PA as well!
"I've Got Your Six" is a military phrase that means "I've Got Your Back." This race was born out of a desire to remind Veterans of all generations that we on the homefront have their backs both while they are serving abroad as well as when they come home. All proceeds of the event will go to support the VALOR Clinic Foundation, a veterans charity started in Pennsylvania focused on helping homeless veterans get back on their feet.

Why 6k?
Everyone loves their local 5k's. Why did we add that extra 1 kilometer?
1) The 6 in 6k represents the Six in the 'I've Got Your Six' phrase.
2) Sick of 3.1 miles? Try 3.7 miles! Set a new PR or improve your current 6k PR; Let's do something different!
3) Just like our troops go the extra mile for us, it can't hurt to go an extra kilometer for them!
